Education:
  • Associates degree or equivalent completed courses required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS, or other relevant field of study preferred

Work Experiences:
  • 4 years of experience in IT Purchasing, IT Vendor Management, IT Procurement, or IT Contracts preferred

  • Experience reviewing and managing Purchase Orders required

  • Experience sourcing and negotiating technology purchases required

  • Experience reviewing and managing hardware/software licensing and maintenance contracts

  • Experience analyzing and resolving invoice issues required

Skills:
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with individuals at various levels

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with problem-solving abilities, creative resolution skills, and the ability to identify anomalies in process or results within a high volume, fast-paced environment

  • Excellent time management skills, ability to support multiple projects, and effectively manage a large volume of work

  • Demonstrates leadership and the ability to provide guidance and enforce governance with peers and counterparts

  • Working knowledge of IT terminology, technology concepts, contract language, and contract and vendor management processes

  • Self-motivated, with the discipline to work successfully both independently and within a team while meeting and exceeding position requirements under minimal direction and supervision

  • Ability to operate professionally, effectively and ethically as an individual contributor and member of a team

  • Ability to influence and gain acceptance and approval of ideas, proposals, and solutions

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs, with a particular emphasis on Excel

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage Purchase Orders for IT and Enterprise projects

  • Review and validate invoices, addressing issues with vendors

  • Negotiate agreements and contracts in partnership with the Legal department, ensuring that the documents meet the expectations of IT Leadership

  • Manage on-boarding of new vendors, and maintain current vendor relationships by communicating with internal legal and business teams

  • Manage contract documents through execution and implementation, and ensure any contract addendums or amendments follow Academy parameters

  • Maintain information in contract and vendor management systems

  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with IT Procurement department to ensure sourcing activities are in line with Vendor Management and IT strategies

  • Source and negotiate purchases and contract renewals that are out of scope for IT Procurement

  • Track and update renewals, obtain quotes and internal approvals, create purchase orders and receipts, and process invoices in support of vendor and contract activities

  • Act as a mentor and knowledge resource for more junior team members

  • Assist management with research, analysis and resolution as requested

  • Support continuous quality and service improvements to drive efficient business operations

  • Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules

  • Duties may change; Team members may be required to perform other duties as assigned
