  • Base Salary: $50,000 annually
  • Performance Bonus: Up to $5,000 quarterly

We are seeking a motivated, organized, and growth-minded Junior Project Manager who wants to build a long-term career in residential remodeling and construction management.


Position Summary

The Junior Project Manager supports the successful planning, coordination, and execution of residential remodeling and construction projects. Working closely with the President/senior project managers, designers, trade partners, and clients, this role helps ensure projects are completed safely, profitably, on schedule, and in accordance with KC's standards.


This position is ideal for someone with construction experience who is ready to transition into project management or an early-career project manager looking to grow within a professional Design-Build environment.


Compensation:

$50,000 - $70,000 yearly


Responsibilities:

Project Coordination

  • Assist with managing residential remodeling and construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and inspections.
  • Monitor project schedules and proactively identify potential delays.
  • Conduct regular site visits and document progress.

Client Communication

  • Maintain positive and professional communication with homeowners.
  • Provide project updates and address concerns promptly.
  • Support the delivery of an exceptional customer experience.

Financial Management

  • Assist in monitoring project budgets and job costs.
  • Review invoices, change orders, and purchase orders.
  • Help maintain project profitability goals.

Vendor & Trade Partner Relations

  • Develop relationships with quality subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Assist in sourcing new trade partners.
  • Ensure vendors meet KC's expectations for quality, responsiveness, and professionalism.

Process & Documentation

  • Utilize JobTread and company systems to maintain project documentation.
  • Follow established company SOPs and project management processes.
  • Maintain accurate project records, schedules, and communication logs.

Safety & Quality Control

  • Promote jobsite safety and cleanliness.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout project execution.

Ensure work meets company standards and client expectations


Qualifications:

Preferred Experience

  • 2+ years of residential construction experience preferred.
  • Previous experience as a lead carpenter, assistant project manager, superintendent, or project coordinator is a plus.
  • Knowledge of residential remodeling practices, codes and sequencing.

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Basic understanding of project scheduling and budgeting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Construction Management, Business, or related education preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to visit active construction sites.
  • Ability to kneel, sit, stand, crawl and climb
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
