Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager Lead/Specialist to lead complex IT projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with a focus on SAP/S4 systems. This role is responsible for the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, project governance expertise, and a strong ability to manage cross-functional teams and vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead IT-related projects (Agile/Waterfall) within the SAP/S4 environment from initiation to completion.
  2. Proactively manage project scope, schedule, risks, budget, and resources according to PMO standards.
  3. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying dependencies, milestones, and critical paths.
  4. Monitor and forecast project spending and manage resource allocations effectively.
  5. Implement Agile best practices and ensure adherence to organizational project governance.
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.
  7. Facilitate risk mitigation, conflict resolution, and issue management.
  8. Provide ongoing status updates, KPIs, and post-project evaluations (lessons learned).
  9. Mentor and guide project team members, including coaching on PMO processes and tools.
  10. Maintain strong vendor relationships and oversee third-party governance controls.
  11. Lead continuous improvement efforts for PMO performance and methodology consistency.
  12. Support performance reviews and oversight of contract and junior project managers.

Required Qualifications
Education:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, IT, or a related field and 7 years of relevant experience, or
  2. Associate's degree with 10 years of relevant experience, or
  3. A minimum of 12 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience:
  1. Proven leadership in managing IT projects, particularly within ERP environments (SAP/S4).
  2. Experience working with large data sets and driving data-informed decisions.
  3. Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and managing multidisciplinary project teams.

Technical Skills
  1. Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, and SAP.
  2. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project governance frameworks.
  3. Experience managing budgets, timelines, and KPIs in enterprise IT settings.
  4. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  5. Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred Certifications
  1. Project Management Professional (PMP) - Preferred
  2. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) - Preferred
