About this Role

The Scheduler is responsible for overseeing all scheduling support functions and serves as the primary point of contact for Irby's project schedules. This individual develops and maintains integrated project schedules; updates progress with consistent reporting; enforces scheduling standards and best practices; and coordinates with owners, subcontractors, and internal teams providing functional scheduling support based on project needs. The Scheduler will be responsible for managing and developing schedules in both MS Project and Primavera P6, supporting the Project Manager and construction teams by providing insights and analysis on progress and performance against these schedules.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and maintain detailed and comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external project teams to develop and integrate various project schedules.
  • Incorporate resources, costs, and quantities into the project schedule.
  • Adhere to and enforce requirements for scheduling functions internally and as per contract-specific requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling needs, working with subcontractors, site team members, the project services team, and project stakeholders as necessary.
  • Facilitate and participate in meetings to review schedule requirements, updates, issues, risks, etc.
  • Align scheduling data with project controls data as needed for project and corporate reporting.
  • Mentor junior schedulers and project coordinators to enhance their scheduling expertise across the team.
  • Partner with leadership to continuously improve project scheduling standards, reporting, and Primavera P6 utilization.
  • Perform other scheduling functions in support of Project Services and broader project needs.
  • Adhere to all internal standards, policies, and procedures.
What You'll Bring

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience, industry training, or a combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience using Primavera P6 / P6 Enterprise, including schedule development, resource loading, and file management (MPP, XER, XLS).
  • Hands-on experience with both Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, with the ability to validate schedule data against field progress.
  • Experience collaborating with large, diverse, and remote project teams.

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to review, analyze, and update project schedules to proactively identify logic changes, coordination needs, and risks/mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.

  • Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management Certified Professional.
