Job description

Level 3 Carpenter

Company: Western Environmental, a Division of Controlled Environment Systems, LLC

Location: Based in Ohio and looking for candidates located within the Crossroads of America; projects nationwide (75–90% travel)

Build the Future. One Cleanroom at a Time.

Are you a top-tier carpenter who loves life on the road and thrives in high-tech environments? Ready to take your skills beyond basic framing and into the world of precision-built cleanrooms, labs, and cutting-edge modular spaces?

Controlled Environment Systems (CES) is looking for a Level 3 Carpenter to join our elite Systems Division team — a group that builds the clean, controlled, and critical spaces used by Fortune 500 companies in biotech, aerospace, pharma, and beyond.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Traveling Level 3 Carpenter, you won't be stuck in one spot or doing cookie-cutter builds. You'll be:

  • Leading and executing high-end modular wall and ceiling installations
  • Reading blueprints like a boss and translating them into sleek, flawless spaces
  • Collaborating with engineers, PMs, and site teams to bring precision projects to life
  • Mentoring junior carpenters and keeping safety + quality at the forefront
  • Working in some of the most advanced, high-tech facilities in North America

This is not your average carpentry gig — it's a chance to level up your career in a growing, future-focused industry.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of commercial or industrial carpentry experience (cleanroom/modular experience = major plus)
  • You know your way around hand tools, lasers, levels, and lift equipment
  • You're detail-obsessed, solution-driven, and comfortable working solo or leading a team
  • Ability to travel nationwide 75–100% of the time (yep, flights and hotels are on us)
  • Clean driving record, able to pass background + drug screening
  • OSHA 30, lift certifications? Even better.

Perks & Benefits:

  • Top-tier pay + daily per diem for travel days
  • All travel expenses covered (flights, rental cars, lodging)
  • Medical, dental, vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Real growth potential — this isn't just a job, it's an opportunity for a long-term career
  • Tight-knit, high-performance crew with a culture built on excellence and respect

Why CES?

We're not building just anything — we build the future of healthcare, tech, and science. At CES, you'll work on projects that matter, with a team that has your back.
