Job description

We are a civil engineering, planning, and landscape architecture firm specializing in innovative and sustainable land development projects in Florida. The Civil Engineer Land Development role focuses on designing mixed residential and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing technical leadership within a small engineering team. This position requires proficiency with industry-standard design software and frequent on-site client engagement, reporting directly to the Senior Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Design site layout, grading, drainage, and utility systems for residential and commercial projects
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including permitting and regulatory submissions
  • Prepare, review, and manage engineering plans, reports, and specifications
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineering staff
  • Collaborate with a small team of 1-5 engineers under the direction of Senior Engineer
  • Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD Civil3D, ICPR, and WaterCAD for design and analysis
  • Conduct frequent client site visits to support project development and execution

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or near completion in the State of Florida
  • Minimum of 3 years experience designing land development projects
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D, ICPR, and WaterCAD
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
