Job description

Jr. Chefs are responsible for their specific assigned section within the kitchen. They report to the Head Chef daily, monitor and supervise their assigned section, control large-volume production, ensure on-time delivery of products, comply with USDA allergen and sanitation standards, and train and direct Station Chefs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follow and report to Head Chef daily
  • Monitor and supervise assigned section;
  • Control large-volume production
  • Ensure all products are delivered on time
  • Comply with USDA allergen and sanitation standards
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food regulations
  • Coordinate and delegate duties within the section
  • Prepare and produce specified recipes; execute food production efficiently
  • Coordinate all cooking and preparing per daily schedule
  • Assemble and utilize all kitchen equipment
  • Train, direct, supervise, and evaluate Station Chefs
  • Conduct quality assurance for assigned section
