Job description

Position Overview

The Senior Product Development & Sourcing Manager drives global sourcing strategies to deliver optimal value, quality, cost-efficiency, and on-time deliveries. They collaborate with cross-functional partners to execute product development and production across the product life cycle. This role oversees day-to-day functions-including complex costing, vendor allocation, and sample management-while partnering with the Director of Sourcing to shape department strategy and onboard new vendors.

What You'll Do: 

  • Directly own and manage assigned product categories while leading, mentoring, and overseeing the categories, systems, and projects of direct reports.
  • Build partnerships and collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, design, tech design, planning, and suppliers.
  • Propose, lead, and execute product development and sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct detailed cost analyses.
  • Vet and onboard new vendors to support business needs.
  • Drive vendor allocation decisions.
  • Oversee product costing and sampling processes for assigned categories, as well as for categories managed by direct reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all development timelines.
  • Facilitate regular touchpoints with the Hong Kong sourcing team to ensure continuous alignment on strategic business needs and shifting priorities.
  • Monitor and report on key sourcing metrics.
  • Address and resolve development issues with Hong Kong partners.
  • Manage the photo sample process, including monitoring on-time rates and supplier charges.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Design, or Product Development
    • Equivalent work experience will be considered
  • 7+ years of experience
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Thorough understanding of the development process 
  • Strong coaching skills, experience managing direct reports
  • Exceptional presenting and influencing skill set & ability to lead meetings
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction

  • In-depth knowledge & understanding of fabric and garment construction; expertise in product cost details

Position Compensation Outline 

Compensation Range: $105,000 to $130,000/year 

This position is eligible to participate in the company bonus program. 

Compensation listed is for the full-time position at this specific location and is based on several factors, including experience, and qualifications. Benefits and perks may have eligibility requirements and are subject to change.
