Asset Manager, Water Infrastructure

Hazen’s Utility Management Services (UMS) group is seeking a skilled and motivated asset management consultant. This is a Hybrid position and can be based in the following locations: Denver, CO, Greenwood Village, CO, Colorado Springs, CO, Fort Collins, CO & Albuquerque, NM. You will join our growing presence in the region, helping build Trusted Advisor relationships and delivering high-caliber work that supports our mission of helping communities protect public health and the environment.

Role & Responsibilities

You will deliver high-impact solutions across five core service areas:

  1. Asset Management
  2. Organizational Health & Resilience
  3. Economic & Financial Services
  4. Technology & Business Intelligence
  5. Public Outreach & Communication

Key responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing utility management and asset management plans throughout their lifecycle.
  • Assisting with field assessments of infrastructure.
  • Building and maintaining management tools such as structured databases, interactive business intelligence platforms, and data visualization dashboards.
  • Preparing polished client-facing materials and presentations.
  • Contributing to pursuit development and project scoping
  • Serving as Project Engineer/Manager for UMS engagements.
  • Client interaction and coordinating with engineering, planning, and science teams.
  • Diagnosing client needs and developing strategic, customized solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 2-6+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and experienced with database management tools such as Excel, Access, and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with business intelligence and data tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Apps, etc.).
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Collaborative team player who is also self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Sound ethics and adherence to Hazen’s safety, quality, and professional standards.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
