Overview
We are seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Sr. Project Manager to lead and oversee the most
complex, high-stakes projects within the power sector market. As a senior-level leader within the Project
Management Office (PMO), the Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives,
ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and implementing advanced PMO practices across multiple
programs and portfolios. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project and program
management, deep expertise in the power sector, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence
executive decision-making.
Responsibilities
  • Strategic Program Leadership:
    • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, multi-program initiatives within
      the power sector.
    • Define program scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with executive
      leadership and stakeholders.
    • Ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting
      quality and performance standards.
  • PMO Governance and Portfolio Management:
    • Establish and enforce advanced PMO methodologies, processes, and best practices
      across all programs and portfolios.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory
      requirements.
    • Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, providing strategic insights to executive
      leadership.
  • Resource and Financial Oversight:
    • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency
      across multiple projects.
    • Oversee resource allocation across programs to optimize efficiency and productivity.
    • Track expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets and financial goals.
  • Risk and Issue Management:
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across programs and portfolios to ensure successful
      delivery.
    • Proactively address program issues and escalate them to executive leadership when
      necessary.
    • Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
  • Executive Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Serve as the primary liaison between program teams, clients, and executive leadership.
    • Facilitate regular program reviews and provide updates to senior stakeholders and
      executives.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure
      alignment and collaboration.
  • Advanced Reporting and Analytics:
    • Prepare and maintain detailed program documentation, including schedules, budgets, and
      performance metrics.
    • Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards for executive leadership and board-level
      stakeholders.
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of program progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
    • Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, tools, and methodologies at the
      organizational level.
    • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the PMO and program
      teams.
    • Mentor and coach junior project managers and team members, fostering professional
      growth and development.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related
    field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA or Master's in Engineering) is strongly preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP (Program
    Management Professional), or PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional)
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in the
    power sector or energy industry
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, high-impact programs and portfolios within a PMO
    environment.
  • Extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex stakeholder
    relationships.
  • Proficiency in advanced project and portfolio management software (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft
    Project, or similar tools).
  • Strong knowledge of PMO frameworks, methodologies, and tools at the enterprise level.
  • Familiarity with power sector operations, including generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • Exceptional leadership and decision-making abilities, with a focus on strategic thinking.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at the
    executive level.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing
    priorities.
  • In-depth understanding of power sector regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Awareness of environmental, safety, and sustainability considerations in the energy industry.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
