* Serving as the lead architect for major technology assignments, overseeing the execution of large-scale telecommunications deployments, and analyzing long-term performance data to drive roadmap adjustments that facilitate program expansion.
* Acting as the principal Subject Matter Expert (SME) across diversified project assignments, mentoring junior engineers, and interfacing with executive stakeholders to ensure IT services exceed end-user expectations and organizational requirements.
* Spearheading the integration of innovative, secure, and modernized technological solutions-such as software-defined wide area networks (SD-WAN) and next-generation unified communications-to strengthen and future-proof the IT foundation. Minimum Qualifications: * Requires an associate's degree (or equivalent work experience) in Telecommunications, IT, or a related field, preferably with some experience in telecommunications or IT support. In lieu of education, 2 yrs experience in telecommunications systems support is appropriate. * Requires 8 or more years telecommunications systems support or related IT role.
* Possesses basic understanding of telecom systems and networking principles along with problem-solving and communication skills.
* Possess proven ability to develop and implement effective telecommunications equipment strategies to optimize security, compliance, and efficiency. Preferred Qualifications: * Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP certification) or Certified Mobile Device Security Professional (CMDSP).
* Familiarity with the USACE IT environment, regulatory requirements, and data security best practices.
* Relevant certifications like CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCENT are preferred. Clearance Requirements: * Must possess a Secret security clearance prior to starting this position.
