Job description

Jr. Graphic Designer Austin, TX (On-Site) | Contract to Hire (Conversion after 6 months)

An Austin-based automotive retail startup is looking for a Jr. Graphic Designer who wants real ownership over brand output, not just execution of someone else's deck. This is a hands-on role shaping brand identity across digital platforms for a growing dealership network, and it goes beyond traditional design work into AI video production and AI voice design, so if you're chasing where the industry is actually heading, this is a good place to plant a flag.

What you'll do:

  • Design full digital campaign packages, banner ads, email templates, social assets, and landing pages, for automotive dealerships
  • Adapt creative across multiple dealership brands while staying compliant with OEM co-op guidelines
  • Work with AI video production, copywriting, and AI voice design as core parts of the role, not side projects
  • Apply disclaimer and compliance requirements for credit offers and promotional messaging without killing the creative
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and content teams to keep a unified brand voice
  • Manage and version-control design files across shared folders

What you bring:

  • 1 to 4 years of professional design experience, agency or in-house
  • A portfolio showing strong fundamentals, brand guideline adherence, and creative range
  • 1+ years of video production and/or copywriting experience
  • 1+ year of AI voice design experience
  • Strong Adobe Creative Cloud skills: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Ability to juggle multiple dealership projects and tight deadlines without dropping quality

Nice to have:

  • After Effects / motion graphics
  • Basic web design (Squarespace, HTML, JavaScript)
