Senior React Native Developer (on-site) - Plano

Want a seat at our table? Ziosk is looking for a Senior React Native Developer to join our POS & Integrations team. You will design, build, and own the mobile applications powering the guest-facing and operator experiences across thousands of restaurant locations nationwide, while driving architectural decisions and mentoring engineers across the mobile codebase. In this role, you will also leverage AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate coding, debugging, and integration work - while setting the standard for how the team uses AI responsibly to ship faster and more reliably. The successful candidate is self-motivated with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

The Main Course -Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and own React Native applications and native modules for Android, driving architectural decisions across the mobile codebase
  • Develop compelling and user-friendly applications and user interfaces that enhance the Ziosk guest experience
  • Lead code reviews and mentor mid-level and junior engineers on React Native best practices, native bridging, and performance optimization
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate development velocity, while setting team standards for responsible AI-assisted code review and quality gates
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Backend teams to scope technical feasibility and influence roadmap decisions
What You Bring To The Table -Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience developing React Native software applications, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership or mentoring capacity
  • Languages: TypeScript (JavaScript ES6), Kotlin, C# - deep proficiency required, including native module development and platform-specific debugging
  • End-to-end ownership of release management, CI/CD pipelines, and rollback strategy for mobile application deployments
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI coding assistants into a professional workflow with sound judgment on when to rely on AI-generated code versus writing/reviewing manually, and ability to instill that judgment in others
Nice to Have:
  • Languages: React, .NET, Java, Objective-C, Swift
  • Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS
  • Experience leading a team reorg, codebase migration, or platform consolidation effort.
