Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex mechanical engineering projects from concept through execution, ensuring technical excellence and on-time delivery.
  • Provide expert-level guidance in the design, development, and refinement of advanced mechanical systems.
  • Perform high-level analyses, simulations, and design evaluations to drive optimal performance and reliability.
  • Mentor, coach, and elevate junior engineers, strengthening the team's technical depth and engineering rigor.
  • Prepare, review, and present detailed technical documentation, analyses, and reports to support decision-making and project milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, progress, and overall program success.

Qualifications You Must Have:
You'll bring deep engineering expertise and the leadership skills needed to support a high-impact environment with complex technical challenges.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • A higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Expert knowledge of mechanical design principles and proficiency with industry-standard CAD tools.
  • Strong understanding of core engineering principles and their application in real-world environments.
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating within multi-disciplinary design and development teams.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Master's or PhD in a related field.
  • Experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
  • Understanding of Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Thermal Analysis
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes
  • Knowledge of environmental requirements for components utilized in aircraft and space applications
  • Experience providing technical guidance to a diverse team of engineers on issues related to mechanical engineering

  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.

  • Ability to understand technical documents, designs and test reports.
