Texas Instruments is seeking an experienced Layout Designer to join our team! Responsibilities include:

  • Development and preparation of multi-dimensional layouts and detailed drawings of the semiconductor devices from schematics and related geometry provided by design engineering
  • Work may be completed through use of CAD equipment
  • Checks dimensions, writes specifications, and verifies completed drawings, art work or digitized plots
  • May check design layouts and detailed drawings

Minimum requirements:

  • Associates degree
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant layout experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Experience in advanced analog layout techniques for performance-sensitive designs
  • Familiarity with reliability, ESD, electromigration, and high-current layout considerations
  • Experience contributing to layout flow improvement, methodology development, or automation
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading layout execution for complex blocks
