Job description

Position: PCB Layout Designer
Location: Scotts Valley, CA
Length: 3 Month Contract to Start Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop PCB layouts using Altium Designer in alignment with engineering requirements and design standards • Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical engineers to interpret schematics, constraints, and design intent • Apply best practices for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) throughout the layout process • Define and implement stack-ups, controlled impedance routing, and appropriate trace widths based on performance requirements • Perform component placement and routing with a strong understanding of signal integrity, power distribution, and overall board performance • Generate complete release packages, including Gerber/ODB++ files and all required manufacturing documentation • Review designs for quality, accuracy, and compliance with internal and external standards Qualifications
• 5+ years of hands-on PCB layout design experience • Advanced proficiency with Altium Designer • Strong understanding of PCB fundamentals, including stack-ups, trace routing, and layout constraints • Experience working closely with electrical engineering teams in a collaborative environment • Familiarity with manufacturing outputs such as Gerber and ODB++ files • Ability to balance technical requirements with practical manufacturing considerations POST-OFFER BACKGROUND CHECK IS REQUIRED.
