We are seeking a highly motivated Jr. System Administrator to join our team.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations of the organization’s IT infrastructure and helpdesk functions. Responsibilities include Tier 1/2 helpdesk support, system and user provisioning/deprovisioning, Windows and Azure-based systems administration, routine maintenance and patching, vulnerability management, and participation in IT projects. The role works under the direction of the Manager, Infrastructure and Systems Security and collaborates across the organization to ensure stable, secure, and reliable IT services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage the service desk ticket queue, ensuring timely triage, resolution, and communication with users to meet department SLAs
  • Provide consistent followup with users to confirm incidents and requests have been fully resolved
  • System outage identification and escalations
  • Hardware break fix and software troubleshooting
  • Deployment of computer systems, upgrades, software installations and software standardization
  • Design, analyze, maintain, and implement LifeSecure’s systems with a costeffective approach
  • Coordinate system configurations that meet the needs of all LifeSecure’s team members
  • Monitor system backups, storage, and other critical systems daily
  • Create, test, maintain, and document procedures for the maintenance or deployment of technology
  • Continually work to identify opportunities for automation of manual tasks
  • Perform system firmware updates, patching, and other duties as assigned
  • Support vulnerability management activities including scanning, tracking, and coordinating remediation of identified vulnerabilities across endpoints and servers
  • Administer and support Microsoft Azure services including Azure Virtual Desktop, Entra ID (Active Directory), and Microsoft Intune for device and identity management
  • Manage user provisioning and deprovisioning across IT systems including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and lineofbusiness applications
  • Participate in IT projects, contributing to planning, testing, and implementation activities under the guidance of senior team members
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workloads in a dynamic environment, and communicate shifting priorities and work status in a timely and professional manner.
  • Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of general help desk and systems administration support experience is required
  • Microsoft Azure experience preferred
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
  • Strong relationship building, networking, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt, plan, and communicate quickly and effectively in a complex and highly regulated environment
  • Ability to manage projects within deadlines
  • Ability to apply sound judgment and tact in the resolution of problems
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Proficient with maintaining and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and higher, Microsoft Active Directory, VoIP phone systems, Client VPN, Networking, and Backup solutions
  • Proficient in imaging and deploying user devices (laptop, desktop, cellphone, etc.)
  • Ability to acquire new skills efficiently
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment
  • Special Conditions of Employment (licenses, certificates, credentials, etc.):
  • Microsoft Certified Professional or above preferred
