Description of Task to be Performed:
AnaVation is seeking a Sr Systems Administrator to join our team and support our mission critical customer in Reston, VA.
As a Sr Systems Administrator you will:
  • Plan, design, and implement infrastructure changes and system upgrades.
  • Manage and troubleshoot multiple VMware environments.
  • Provide Windows Server and Linux administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Create STIG compliant images for Windows Desktop, Windows Server, and Linux OS.
  • Create, test, and deploy software packages using software deployment products such as SCCM, PDQ, etc.
  • Provide expert level support and mentoring for Mid and Junior System Administrator personnel.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures for system and software changes.
  • Utilize scripting to automate common tasks.
  • Perform hardware maintenance/repair activities.
  • Ensure proper planning and execution of major projects/maintenance activities.
  • Provide advanced level administration and troubleshooting of Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and Domain Controllers.

Required Qualifications:
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
  • Education & Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience related to specific functional area
  • Certifications: Current active CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent IAT Level II
  • Required Experience and knowledge on:
    • Ability to write scripts using PowerShell and/or Bash.
    • Experience managing VMware, Nutanix, and other types of enterprise level Virtual Infrastructures.
    • Proficient in managing and troubleshooting Active Directory and Group Policy Object (GPO).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Linux OS (CentOS, RHEL) administration.
  • Satellite server administration.
  • Ansible playbook writing.
  • Implementing STIGs.
  • Experience supporting a software configuration management and development environment.
