Roles & Responsibilities
• We are seeking a hands-on, highly motivated Java Developer to join a newly formed pod focused on stabilizing and enhancing our modernized SinglePoint corporate banking portal, a critical platform used by large corporate clients. This team plays a key role in improving customer satisfaction, increasing platform reliability, and accelerating delivery of customer-focused enhancements.
• This role will: Design, develop, test, and optimize payments functionality, including regression testing, performance testing, and performance validation. Leverage AI-driven tools and insights to analyze customer-reported issues, assess business impact, identify root causes, and drive resolution of defects and enhancement requests. As the application matures, the team will expand its focus to broader resiliency, performance, and operational excellence initiatives.
• This is an AI-first, fast-paced engineering environment offering significant opportunities to grow technical expertise while working closely with Product Management, Customer Support, and Payables engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Software Development
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Framework/Spring Boot.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices supporting business-critical applications.
• Participate in application architecture, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Experience troubleshooting application, API, and transaction processing issues and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodologies.
• Performance Engineering & Testing
• Design and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.
• Create and maintain performance test scripts using JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent tools.
• Analyze application performance metrics and identify bottlenecks across application, database, middleware, and infrastructure layers.
• Work closely with development teams to recommend and validate performance improvements.
• Produce performance test plans, reports, and executive summaries.
• Define performance testing requirements, workload models, and success criteria for projects.

• Knowledge of application resiliency, observability, and performance optimization techniques
• Analyze application logs and performance metrics using tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, or similar monitoring platforms.

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of Java development experience.
