About the role
As a Senior Java Full Stack Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise applications using modern Java and Angular technologies. You will be a valued member of the development team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
In this role, you will:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and modern software engineering practices.
• Build and support RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions that deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing applications.
• Develop and enhance user interfaces using Angular 17+ while collaborating closely with front-end and UX teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Implement data persistence solutions using JPA/Hibernate and relational or NoSQL databases while ensuring performance and data integrity.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD processes, containerization, and deployment activities utilizing technologies such as Docker, Git, and automated delivery pipelines.

What you need to have to be considered
• 6+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and modern software development methodologies.
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
• Hands-on experience with Angular 17+ and modern TypeScript development.
• Experience implementing data access layers using JPA/Hibernate and working with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Kafka, MQ, or other messaging technologies supporting event-driven architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Camunda.
• Knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Experience developing AI-enabled applications or integrating AI capabilities into enterprise solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 and $131,500, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
