Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract opportunity in Fort Worth, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
  • 5+ years experience programming in Python
  • 3+ years experience with the Linux/Unix command line
  • 5+ years of experience with software configuration management tools (Git, Artifactory, Nexus)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, integrate, support, and debug cutting-edge software across multiple platforms.


Own and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, ensuring builds are fast, reliable, and reproducible.
Champion virtual development labs and aircraft-software workflows, keeping them nimble and user-friendly.
  • Design and build automation frameworks using a mix of open-source, commercial, and in-house tools-letting you experiment with the latest technologies.


Engage daily in scrums, sprint reviews, and technical demos, sharing progress and learning with the team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
  • Experience with CI tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Bitbucket
  • Experience with Real-time software development and integration
  • Experience programming in Python
  • A strong interest in supporting software development for airborne systems
  • Experience with aircraft sensors, datalinks, navigation, and/or weapons
  • Experience with Open Mission Systems
  • Experience leading software projects

REQUIRED EDUCATION
