Job description

The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) is an award-winning, independent global non-profit research organization dedicated to supporting the effective design and implementation of policies that address the impacts of the global transportation sector on climate change and public health. At the ICCT, we provide high-quality, timely, data-driven research to public government officials as wellas tocivil society and the media. The ICCT has an immediate opening for a highly motivated and committed IT Systems Administrator to join our team. The IT Systems Administrator will assist in the management and administration of ICCT's IT systems, cloud platforms and services, and office networks; provide technical support to program and operations staff; and help monitor and maintain information security and data protection systems.


Core Responsibilities:

Hardware and Software Support

  • Install, support, and troubleshoot hardware and operating system software on Mac, Windows, and Linux systems, remotely and in-person.
  • Provide technical support to staff via email, phone, in-person assistance, and remote management tools.
  • Provide problem-solving assistance on specialty end-use software applications and serve as a general source of expertise on information technologies


Systems Administration

  • Help manage and administer ICCT's cloud environment, including Office 365 and Azure.
  • Provide user support and systems administration for data backup systems.
  • Perform routine hardware, software, and network maintenance.


Staff Onboarding and Training

  • Onboard and off-board staff to ICCT systems.
  • Provide training as needed to staff on information security, data protection and privacy, software tools, and general IT skills.


Asset and License Management

  • Maintain an inventory of organizational IT assets, manage software licensing, and coordinate procurement.


Videoconferencing and Virtual Collaboration Support

  • Support videoconferencing hardware and virtual meeting platforms.


IT Research and Strategic Integration

  • Assist in the identification and evaluation of new hardware and software systems and their integration into ICCT's existing IT environment.
  • Maintain an awareness of major developments in the information technology industry and share relevant knowledge with IT and data management teams and other ICCT staff.

Qualifications:

  • The IT Systems Administrator requires strong analytical skills and a proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Proficient in administering Microsoft Office 365, Exchange, and managing cross-platform systems, including Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux.
  • Skilled in cloud computing, identity management, network troubleshooting, and device management solutions such as JAMF and Intune.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of information security best practices, database administration, and data protection laws, supported by certifications like CompTIA Security+.

Our Benefits

This full-time position will be based in our Washington, DC office and offers a salary of $87,700/ year.
