Job description

The Infrastructure Engineer will design, engineer, and integrate the underlying infrastructure of the WDP System. This person will manage the cloud environment, network, data storage, logging and auditing functions, and DevSecOps pipelines. This person will focus on the continuous improvement of the platform's core infrastructure to ensure it is secure, scalable, and resilient. This person will architect and implement cloud-based infrastructure solutions, automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code practices, and design high-availability and disaster recovery solutions. This person will optimize infrastructure performance and cost-efficiency, implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure infrastructure health, and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues. This person will collaborate with security teams to implement infrastructure security controls, stay current with cloud service provider offerings and best practices, and mentor junior infrastructure team members.

Requirements

  • SECRET Security Clearance Required
  • Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, or SSCP certification (Junior / Journeyman roles)
  • SecurityX / CASP+, CCNP Security, CCSP, FITSP-O, or GFACT certification (for Senior roles)
  • We are actively seeking multiple levels:
    • Junior: 0 - 3 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
    • Journeyman: 4 - 7 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
    • Senior: 8+ years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
  • Good communication skills, self-starter mindset.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Avalore will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

Work Environment: 

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
