Junior Electrical Engineer (Direct Hire) Sustainment Engineer

Location: Lawrenceville, GA
Schedule: MondayFriday | Fully Onsite | 8:00 AM5:00 PM (Flexible)
Salary: $75,000+ (DOE)


Employment Type: Direct Hire

TRC Talent Solutions is hiring a Junior Electrical Engineer for an exciting direct hire opportunity with one of our growing clients. This is a brand-new position on a newly established Sustainment Engineering team, offering the opportunity to make an immediate impact while working alongside experienced engineers.

If you have a passion for electronics, PCB design, and troubleshooting, this is a great opportunity to build your engineering career in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Sustainment Engineering team with ongoing product lifecycle management.

  • Troubleshoot PCB assemblies and electronic components to identify root causes and corrective actions.

  • Investigate customer issues and product failures.

  • Analyze printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies.

  • Assist with Bill of Materials (BOM) grading and component lifecycle analysis.

  • Develop end-of-life (EOL) strategies for obsolete electronic components.

  • Recommend engineering changes and product improvements.

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams to support existing products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering OR equivalent hands-on industry experience.

  • 12 years of electrical engineering or electronics experience.

  • Strong understanding of:

  • PCB assemblies

  • Electronic components

  • Electronic troubleshooting

  • Component lifecycle management

  • Ability to analyze failures and recommend corrective actions.

  • Experience within aerospace, defense, medical device, or other highly regulated electronics manufacturing is highly preferred.

  • Preferred Experience

  • Cadence PCB tools

  • Siemens/Mentor Graphics Expedition (or similar Mentor PCB software)

  • BOM management and component obsolescence

  • Product sustainment or lifecycle engineering

  • Requirements

  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday.
