This position is based in Plano, TX.

Who we're looking for

At TFS, we're embarking on a technology transformation journey, creating next generation of products and platforms. These products enable TFS to provide a best-in-class experience to our customers and partners and position us to rapidly scale to realize our vision of mobility for all by enabling freedom of movement for everyone.

We're looking for a Technical Manager-Full Stack who brings deep technical expertise, a strong sense of ownership, and a track record of driving meaningful outcomes.

In this full stack role, you'll be instrumental in designing and delivering end-to-end solutions that span both backend and frontend systems. You will translate complex requirements into scalable, user-centric applications using modern technologies including React, React Native, and micro frontend architectures. Collaborating closely with enterprise architects and stakeholders in a dynamic Agile environment, you will drive the development of Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) and cloud-native backend services. Your work will influence critical systems, mentor engineering teams, and shape architectural decisions.

What you'll be doing

  • Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, and cloud-native technologies.

  • Build rich, responsive frontend experiences with React and React Native, including Progressive Web Apps.

  • Architect and implement micro frontends to enable modular, maintainable UI components.

  • Collaborate with enterprise architects to implement complex system architectures.

  • Partner with stakeholders in Agile teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

  • Navigate ambiguous requirements with sound engineering judgment and initiative.

  • Own critical components across the full stack, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability.

  • Mentor junior engineers and elevate team standards through code reviews and technical leadership.

  • Uphold best practices in testing, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tooling, and cloud infrastructure.

What you bring

  • 12+ years of professional software development experience.

  • Proven expertise in backend development with Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, REST APIs, real-time streaming architectures, and microservices patterns.

  • Strong frontend development skills with React and React Native frameworks.

  • Experience building micro frontends and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).

  • Proven track record delivering cloud-native applications on AWS or other major cloud platforms.

  • Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and event-driven architecture in production systems.

  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), version control, and DevOps tooling.

  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Document DB.

  • Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization, and deployment automation.

  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch.

  • Full ownership mindset-writing, testing, and validating your own code to ensure quality and reliability.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across architecture, engineering, and product teams.

Added bonus if you have

  • Experience working in FinTech or other highly regulated, enterprise-scale environments.

  • Exposure to LLM workflows or integrating ML models into production systems.

  • Familiarity with scalable messaging platforms such as Kafka or other streaming technologies.

What we'll bring

During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities. A few highlights include:

  • A work environment built on teamwork, flexibility, and respect

  • Professional growth and development programs to help advance your career, as well as tuition reimbursement
