Job description

ABOUT US:
Corning Technology Center Montreal (CTCM) is an R&D team building software solutions that drive adoption of Corning's products and technologies. We focus on delivering high-quality, user-centric applications using modern technologies, while operating with the agility and ownership of a startup environment. 

Purpose:

We are looking for a talented developer to join our team and contribute across the full software development lifecycle as part of an agile, cross-functional team. 

Responsibilities:


Develop and maintain web applications using React, TypeScript, and C# 
Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code, following best practices Contribute to system architecture and design decisions 
Ensure code quality and reliability through code reviews and automated testing 
Troubleshoot and resolve defects, and contribute to agile processes and continuous improvements 

QUALIFICATIONS: 


Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience in software development 
4+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a similar role 
Strong experience with C#, .NET Core, JavaScript, and TypeScript 
Experience developing web interfaces using React or similar technology 
Experience developing APIs (e.g. REST) 
Experience working with relational databases 

Desired skills and abilities:


Experience in system design and architecture 
Experience with development and collaboration tools such as GitLab, Jira, and Confluence 
Experience working in an agile development environment 

WORK LOCATION: Remote within Canada. Candidates must be based in Canada and able to attend occasional in-person meetings at our Montreal, QC office.
