Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Project Engineer to lead and coordinate electrical engineering projects within the construction industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the planning, design, and execution of complex electrical systems on large-scale construction sites. As an integral part of our project management team, you will drive project success through meticulous planning, effective communication, and technical expertise. Your energy and proactive approach will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope, delivering exceptional results for our clients.
Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical system design process, including schematic development and system schematics review, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
  • Regularly observe the Electrical operations of the subcontractors to check cost, progress and quality are in compliance with the current programs (including short term planning and Contract program).
  • Monitor SUBCONTRACOR and Project Stakeholders reports, Prepare and review Construction Statement, Construction Plan, inspections and remedial actions in Electrical part.
  • Monitors with the Client, GC, Subcontractor and EOR & AHJ the Electrical equipment and materials approval process to ensure compliance with the ER and AHJ and EOR.
  • Develop detailed construction estimates utilizing construction estimating tools and techniques to accurately forecast costs and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and clients, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into overall project plans.
  • Prepare and manage project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software to track progress and meet deadlines.
  • Oversee construction site activities related to electrical installations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Review contracts, change orders, and technical specifications to mitigate risks and clarify scope of work.
  • Utilize ProCore and Bluebeam for document management, drawing markups, progress tracking, and communication across teams.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify quality standards are met and troubleshoot issues related to electrical system design or installation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes such as NEC and local regulations while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Manage project documentation including reports, logs, incident reports, and as-built drawings for accurate record keeping.Experience
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry, with a strong background in system design and blueprint reading.
  • Hands-on construction site experience managing electrical installations from start to finish.
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as Primavera P6, HeavyBid, or similar tools for scheduling and estimating.
  • Demonstrated ability in project coordination, scheduling, and managing multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), schematics interpretation, and electrical system troubleshooting.
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects is highly preferred.
