The opportunity 

Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking a talented Senior Front-End Developer to design, develop, and maintain modern, high-quality user interfaces for critical enterprise applications, ensuring excellent user experience and seamless interaction with backend systems. 

How you'll make an impact 

  • Design, develop, and implement responsive, high-performance, and accessible user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular). 

  • Translate UI/UX designs and business requirements into clean, maintainable, and reusable front-end code. 

  • Collaborate closely with backend developers, UX/UI designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions. 

  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. 

  • Apply best practices in front-end architecture, state management, and component-based development. 

  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards and architectural guidelines. 

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve UI-related issues across different environments. 

  • Implement and maintain front-end testing strategies (unit, integration, and end-to-end tests). 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and front-end best practices. 

  • Stay up to date with emerging front-end technologies, frameworks, and industry trends. 

  • Coach and support junior front-end developers, reviewing their work and promoting knowledge sharing within the team. 

Your background: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Front-End Developer, preferably in enterprise or large-scale applications. 

  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript

  • Hands-on experience with modern front-end frameworks. Mandatory experience with Angular; experience with other frameworks such as React or Vue.js is desirable. 

  • Solid understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization. 

  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with backend services. 

  • Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, NgRx, Vuex) is a plus. 

  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Playwright) is desirable. 

  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. 

  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and UX best practices is a plus. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. 

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team.
