Job description



A Fortune 50 Financial Institution is seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to join their team. This engineer will help build and enhance enterprise-scale web applications, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver modern, accessible, and scalable user experiences.


About the Opportunity:



  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

  • Hours: 8am to 4:30pm

  • Setting: Hybrid (3x a week onsite)

  • Location: Vienna VA, Winchester VA, Pensacola FL, or San Diego CA


Responsibilities



  • Designing, developing, and maintaining responsive, accessible, and high-performance web applications using Angular 17+ and modern web technologies

  • Building reusable UI components, libraries, and enterprise design system standards to promote consistency and scalability

  • Collaborating with Product, UX, Architecture, and Engineering teams to deliver intuitive user experiences and integrate REST APIs

  • Driving front-end architecture decisions, conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, and promoting engineering best practices

  • Supporting CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps while optimizing application performance, accessibility, testing, and production support


Qualifications:



  • 7+ years of front-end software engineering experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Expert-level experience with Angular 17+

  • Strong proficiency with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS

  • Experience developing enterprise-scale Single Page Applications (SPAs)

  • Experience integrating REST APIs and working with Git and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience implementing WCAG accessibility standards and responsive web design

  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and SOLID principles

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and work effectively in Agile teams


Desired Skills:



  • Experience with NX Monorepo architecture

  • Experience with Storybook or similar component documentation tools

  • Experience with Bootstrap, ng-Bootstrap, or similar UI frameworks

  • Experience supporting digital banking or financial services applications

  • Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools

  • Experience contributing to platform modernization initiatives
