Senior Commercial Glazing Estimator - Interior Glass Systems - Base Salary to 90k/year - Atlanta, GA

  • Our client is a well-established commercial glazing contractor serving the Metro Atlanta market. They specialize in interior commercial glazing and glass systems for commercial construction projects and are seeking an experienced estimator to provide technical leadership for the estimating function.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage high-volume commercial glazing bids while maintaining estimating accuracy and meeting project deadlines.
  • Perform final review and approval of estimates, budgets, and change order requests (CORs) to ensure pricing consistency and adherence to company standards.
  • Prepare and review estimates for interior commercial glazing systems, storefront systems, curtainwall systems, thermal systems, specialty glass, and related glazing materials.
  • Lead or support bid negotiations by presenting complete, well-documented proposals.
  • Resolve bid scope discrepancies, estimating issues, and pricing questions with general contractors and internal project teams.
  • Respond to urgent estimating requests, including expedited budgets and time-sensitive bid opportunities.
  • Maintain and adjust the estimating bid calendar based on project priorities, deadlines, and available resources.
  • Evaluate bid opportunities and provide recommendations regarding project pursuit strategy.
  • Analyze historical pricing and cost data to develop accurate, competitive estimates.
  • Provide technical guidance and estimating support to junior estimating team members.
  • Meet project bid deadlines, including occasional extended work hours when required.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of commercial glazing estimating experience with a strong background in interior commercial glazing.
  • Experience estimating commercial glazing projects involving storefront systems, curtainwall systems, thermal systems, specialty glass, interior glass systems, and related glazing products.
  • Experience preparing detailed commercial construction estimates, budgets, and change order requests (CORs).
  • Experience independently leading complex commercial glazing estimates from bid invitation through proposal submission.
  • Experience communicating and negotiating with general contractors regarding bid scope, pricing, and project requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Bluebeam, and familiarity with Procore.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting project deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, or equivalent commercial glazing estimating experience.

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 80k - 90k/year range plus discretionary bonuses.
  • Health, dental, vision, 401k, PTO – company pays up to 80% of monthly insurance premium.
