Cost Estimator

Job Description


OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Cost Estimator. Potential candidate works as part of the Cost Management division and supports the Organization, assisting to develop cost estimating for variety of projects using local market analysis. Provide superior client service and experience. Interact with and review data required from all prime contractors and subcontractors for the projects, add cost controls through construction administration.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develop construction cost budgets from preliminary, schematic, design documents & construction documents in support of a variety of construction projects for retail restaurants and associated sitework and vendor items.

Compare budget costs to benchmark pricing information, analyze quantities and scope items as well as assist in value engineering

Enhance overall cost controls service delivery by increasing efficiency and improving processes and manage cost changes to prototypes.

Support in developing and maintaining customers historical cost benchmark for various project types

Prioritize requests to meet or exceed the customers' expectations


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management

Qualified candidate shall have 3 to 5 years of experience in cost management and understanding of CSI trade costs

Experience in Construction Management or Real Estate, preferred


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Ability to regularly communicate analyzed data to client and team to achieve project goals

Working knowledge of architectural & engineering drawings

Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed

Highly organized with strong analytical skills

Demonstrated ability to support Business Development initiatives as assigned or requested

Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with the customer's executives, JLL executives.

Ability to successfully communicate with architects, engineers, contractors, client's representatives, and team members

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Project software (i.e., RS Means, Onscreen Center, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, CostX, Plan swift)

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Estimated compensation for this position:

95,000.00 - 120,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
