ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Junior Electrical Project Estimator, you'll work directly alongside our estimating and project management team to help price medium to large scale industrial electrical projects- material handling, conveyors, industrial power distribution, process controls, and communication cabling. You'll be involved from the moment an RFQ comes in all the way through to project kickoff.
This role is best suited for candidates with 0–3 years of professional experience- including recent graduates, early-career professionals, or those early in an electrical/technical career path who are eager to learn and grow in the electrical estimating field. You'll be joining a team of experienced estimators who will train you directly, with an expectation of shadowing and hands-on mentorship for your first 3-6 months as you ramp up.
The Junior Electrical Project Estimator will support in preparing cost estimates, reviewing project scopes, and managing documentation to ensure project success.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Project Estimating & Support:
- Assist in reviewing and interpreting customer RFQ documentation
- Support in preparing cost estimates for electrical projects, including material take-offs and labor calculations
- Learn to analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements
- Assist in developing accurate cost estimates for industrial power distribution, process controls, and communication cabling
- Help track costs and maintain accurate project documentation
Project Coordination & Documentation:
- Support the transition of quotes to active projects by compiling necessary project documentation
- Help maintain project schedules and punch lists to track deliverables
- Assist in reviewing purchase orders and service agreements with leadership
- Participate in project debriefs to improve future estimating processes
Customer & Team Communication:
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling customer meetings to review project scope and requirements
- Support communication between clients, vendors, and internal teams regarding estimates and project details
- Travel to job sites as needed to gather information for estimating purposes
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
- 0–3 years of professional experience - recent graduates and early-career candidates encouraged to apply
- Some exposure to electrical parts, components, or materials i.e. a co-op, internship, part-time job, or early role at an electrical/industrial supply house, wholesaler, distributor, or contractor. We're not looking for deep specialization here, we want someone early in their career who's curious and ready to learn
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and construction practices
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
