What is a junior drafting?

Junior Drafting jobs involve creating technical drawings and plans used in construction, manufacturing, or engineering projects. Individuals in these roles typically work under the supervision of senior drafters or engineers, using computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce accurate representations of structures or products. Junior drafters help ensure that designs meet relevant specifications and standards, and may also assist with revising plans based on feedback. These positions are often entry-level, providing valuable experience and training for advancement to more senior drafting roles.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a junior drafter?

To thrive as a Junior Drafting professional, you need a solid understanding of technical drawing principles, familiarity with architectural or engineering standards, and typically an associate degree or certification in drafting or a related field.
