Job description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Platform Engineer to lead the evolution of our enterprise-level systems. In this role, you will be a key architect of our automation strategy, working across departments to design, implement, and scale a robust CI/CD ecosystem. You will serve as a subject matter expert, ensuring our infrastructure is resilient, future-proof, and aligned with modern DevOps best practices.
Core Responsibilities
• Pipeline Architecture: Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and implement a comprehensive Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
• Tooling Strategy: Partner with centralized IT stakeholders to select, create, and integrate the tooling required for seamless continuous delivery.
• Scalability & Resilience: Ensure all systems and platform tools are built to accommodate high-growth environments and rapidly changing technical requirements.
• Collaborative Design: Lead and participate in design and planning sessions to ensure infrastructure changes are seamlessly integrated into the broader ecosystem.
• Process Optimization: Proactively identify bottlenecks in the software development lifecycle and design automated process improvements.
• Mentorship: Act as a technical lead, coaching and mentoring junior engineers on platform engineering principles and modern DevOps culture.
Professional Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field (equivalent professional experience also considered).
• Experience: 7+ years of experience building and supporting enterprise-level systems as a Platform Engineer or SRE in a high-availability production environment.
• DevOps Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with DevOps toolchains, including:
o OS & Apps: Linux (RHEL), WebSphere, Tomcat, and Spring Boot.
o CI/CD & Source Control: Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, and Git/Subversion.
o Security & Analysis: SonarQube and Fortify.
o Containerization: Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
o Automation: Puppet, Ansible, and Terraform.
o Observability: Splunk, Dynatrace, or Datadog.
o Development: Proficiency in Java, Python, Bash, C++, or C#.
o Testing: Automated tools such as Selenium or TestComplete.
• Cloud Proficiency: 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services, specifically building and monitoring via CodePipeline, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and X-Ray.
