5–15 hours per week | Weekday & Weekend Hours | Mornings & Evenings


Do you love the game of tennis and enjoy inspiring others to improve their skills while having fun on the court? The Crystal Lake Park District is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Tennis and/or Pickleball Teaching Professional to join our team!


As a Tennis Professional, you’ll bring your passion and expertise to:

  • Teach engaging private and group tennis lessons for players of all ages and abilities indoor or outdoor.
  • Coach junior development programs and travel teams that build confidence, teamwork, and love for the game.
  • Organize exciting leagues, tournaments, and special tennis events that make our courts come alive!
  • Provide racket stringing and grip services, and lend a hand with club activities as needed.

Whether you’re working one-on-one or leading a lively team, you’ll help create a welcoming, fun, and safe environment for our community.


We are looking for:

  • A strong tennis background: at least 3 years varsity high school or 2 years college/USTA tournament experience.
  • 2+ years of teaching or 4 seasons of coaching experience.
  • A natural leader who enjoys connecting with players and families.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and people skills.
  • Bonus points if you have:
    • USPTA or PTR certification
    • College degree
    • Experience with club programs, leagues, or events
    • Racquet stringing skills

Must have or be willing to obtain CPR/AED certification.
