Job Description

Impact Home Health is seeking a motivated and people-focused professional to join our team as a Junior Staff – Impact Care Advocate. This role is a caregiver support floater. This role provides short-term caregiver support for patients as needed, as well as conducting basic wellness check-ins, assisting with peer-to-peer caregiver training.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about people, enjoys coaching and relationship-building, and wants to make a meaningful impact in the home health field.


Key Responsibilities

  • Fill in for regular caregivers on short notice, as scheduled by staffing team.
  • Provide non-medical care and companionship to patients in alignment with their care plans.
  • Serve as a stopgap caregiver during periods of active recruitment or unexpected absences.
  • Perform brief, non-clinical wellness checks on patients as assigned.
  • Report observations or concerns regarding the patient’s safety, condition, or environment to the nursing team promptly.
  • Peer Support & Caregiver Training
  • Assist the nursing team by helping demonstrate basic caregiving technique
  • (e.g., proper transfers, personal care routines, documentation reminders) to new or struggling caregivers.
  • Provide informal mentorship and model expected standards for quality care delivery.
  • Provide constructive, strength-based feedback to support caregiver growth
  • Promote a positive company culture through regular caregiver interactions
  • Collect feedback and share insights with leadership to improve programs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with company and state requirements
  • Track engagement metrics and assist with reporting

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience as a caregiver or home health aide preferred
  • Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and a calm, team-centered attitude.
  • Minimum of 2 years of caregiver experience
  • MUST have valid Kansas driver’s license, reliable transportation, and meet agency insurance requirements.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new patient environments and care situations
  • Willingness to travel within assigned service areas on short notice

Schedule

  • Weekend hours scheduled between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Assignments typically provided in advance

Work Environment

  • Combination of office and field work
  • Local travel is required to meet with caregivers and patients

Supervision

Reports to Agency Administrator and Staffing Manager.
