Torch Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Junior Radar Modeling and Simulation Engineer to contribute to the development and analysis of advanced missile defense simulations. This role involves designing, implementing, and validating complex simulations to assess system performance, inform design decisions, and support critical defense initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, integrate, and maintain high-fidelity missile and sub-system models within various simulation environments (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, C++, Python).
  • Perform detailed performance analysis of missile systems, especially RF seeker.
  • Conduct trade studies and sensitivity analyses to optimize missile designs and identify key performance drivers.
  • Validate simulation models against flight test data, hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) results, and other authoritative sources.
  • Support the development and execution of constructive and virtual simulations for mission planning, concept development, and operational analysis.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including systems engineers, software developers, and subject matter experts.
  • Document simulation methodologies, results, and findings in technical reports and presentations.
  • Present technical findings to internal and external stakeholders, including government customers.


Job Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in missile modeling and simulation or a related field.
  • Experience and/or coursework in radar design/analysis and signal processing.
  • Proficiency in C++, Fortran, and/or MATLAB.
  • Strong understanding of radar analysis and digital signal processing.
  • Familiarity with missile defense systems, weapon system performance, or related defense technologies is highly desired.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance or be able to obtain one.
