A global industrial automation company has engaged Samson Rose to identify a Mechanical Design Project Lead Engineer to join its engineering team focused on complex industrial machinery and automation systems.

The ideal candidate must have solid experience in managing mechanical projects and a strong technical background, allowing them to work effectively in a dynamic design environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the mechanical design team delivering automation and robotics projects, managing progress, communication, and replanning as needed.
  • Partner with electrical, controls, and cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects aligned with technical and contractual requirements.
  • Own technical proposals, timelines, and cost estimates in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Support production through assembly and testing, driving design clarifications, updates, and technical changes.
  • Mentor and develop mechanical designers, supporting training and professional growth.
  • Support project kickoffs, client design reviews, technical documentation, and customer training on machine architecture.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing mechanical projects, preferably in the automation and robotics industry.
  • Strong technical background and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design software (SolidWorks, SolidEdge, etc.).
