Reframe Systems is a Physical AI and robotics company on a mission to make high-performance housing attainable and abundant in the communities where people want to live. Through our vertically integrated delivery model and highly automated microfactories, we deliver climate-resilient homes and buildings with greater speed and predictability than traditional construction.

Our cross-disciplinary team brings together architecture, robotics, design engineering, software, factory operations, and field delivery to change how housing gets delivered.
We're reimagining the future of housing through a smarter and more sustainable system that empowers people to live better. Come build it with us.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our factory team and play a critical role in producing high-quality modular housing components. This role is responsible for taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing drywall seams, joints, corners, and fastener heads to create smooth, market-ready surfaces. The ideal candidate has strong experience with drywall finishing in a manufacturing or production environment, with a commitment to precision, clean work, and production-grade quality that minimizes rework downstream.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Apply joint compound (mud) to drywall seams, joints, and fastener heads using taping knives and appropriate techniques for each coat.
• Tape seams and joints with joint tape, feathering compound edges to create seamless transitions and minimize visible lines.
• Finish corners, both inside and outside, using corner bead and compound to achieve straight, clean lines.
• Sand finished surfaces between coats and prior to final inspection, achieving smooth, defect-free results ready for paint or other finishes.
• Identify and repair imperfections, voids, and damage in drywall panels before mudding begins, coordinating with framers as needed.
• Verify application specifications (fire-rated, moisture-resistant, sound-rated finishes) and apply appropriate finishing techniques for each application.
• Mix, manage, and maintain joint compound at proper consistency to ensure quality application and minimize waste.
• Inspect finished work against specifications and quality standards, addressing touch-ups or rework promptly.
• Work efficiently to meet production schedules while maintaining finish quality standards that reduce or eliminate downstream rework.
• Collaborate with drywall hangers, downstream trades, and supervisors to maintain production flow and handoff standards.
• Communicate with supervisors to address challenges, material issues, and opportunities to improve workflow and efficiency.
• Follow safety protocols, including proper dust containment and respiratory protection in the finishing environment.
• Maintain tools in good condition and keep the work area organized and clean throughout the shift.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience finishing drywall, preferably in manufacturing, commercial construction, or production environments.
• Proficiency with drywall finishing techniques that produce smooth, defect-free surfaces ready for paint or final finishes.
• Strong understanding of joint compound types, tape selection, and application methods for different seam conditions.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in drywall finishing (e.g., taping knives, mud pans, sanders, corner tools, lifts).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and finish specifications.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including standing for extended periods, working overhead or on ladders, and handling drywall finishing materials and tools.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship and quality output.
• Ability to work efficiently without compromising finish quality.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Factory environment with exposure to construction materials, tools, joint compound, and dust.
• Physical tasks including standing, reaching overhead, and performing repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Exposure to dust and fumes; proper respiratory protection and ventilation required.
• Some overtime or weekend work may be required based on production schedules.
Reframe Systems is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
If you believe you have the skills to thrive in this role, we encourage you to apply-even if you don't meet 100% of the listed requirements. At this time, we are only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
