About the role:
The Data Scientist in Process Development is responsible for supporting data integration and expanding capabilities in data visualization and modeling for biotherapeutics process development. You will help turn complex process data into clear insights that support scientific research, development, testing, and process improvement. This role contributes to Takeda's mission by analyzing data from materials, processes, and experiments under a range of conditions to support better decisions across development work.
How you will contribute:
Develop, implement, and support data integration workflows that bring together process development data from multiple sources
Build and improve data visualization tools and dashboards to help teams explore trends, patterns, and process performance
Develop statistical and predictive models to support biotherapeutics process development and data-driven decision-making
Analyze complex datasets independently and identify useful insights, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
Work with scientific and technical teams to define data needs, align on analysis approaches, and support project timelines and deliverables
Present data findings, models, and technical updates at team meetings and project reviews
Troubleshoot data, software, or analysis issues and recommend practical improvements
Serve as a technical resource and trainer for the team on data tools, analysis methods, and visualization practices
Participate in external collaborations and interactions to support data analysis, model development, and knowledge transfer
Skills and qualifications:
Bachelor's with 8+ years, Master's with 6+ years experience or PhD in Data sciences or a related field

Experience working as a data scientist, data analyst, or in a similar role supporting scientific or process development work
Strong experience with data integration, data cleaning, and working across multiple data sources
Strong experience building data visualizations, dashboards, and reports for technical audiences
Experience developing statistical, machine learning, or predictive models for scientific or process data

Ability to analyze complex data independently, select appropriate methods, and communicate findings clearly
