Job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Materials Planning Analyst to join our dynamic team in Rochester, NY. In this role, you will play a crucial part in optimizing our materials planning processes, ensuring that our production lines run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities
  • Analyze inventory levels and forecast material requirements to support production schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on material needs and availability.
  • Develop and maintain inventory management strategies to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Utilize advanced planning tools and software to track and report on material usage and trends.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in materials planning.
  • Prepare and present reports on inventory performance and material planning metrics to management.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues.
  • Train and mentor junior analysts in materials planning methodologies and tools.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in materials planning or supply chain analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced planning software is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
