Role Summary:
The Commercial Credit Administrator and Troubled Assets Coordinator will be responsible for the review of credit submissions for Commercial Banking as well as the day-to-day management of special assets/troubled credits. This position will also provide mentoring and training to underwriters as needed ensuring processes are understood and followed. Additionally, this role will conduct financial reviews, assist with audit requirements, and monitor/follow up on the collection of past due loans.
What You Will Be Doing:
  1. Review commercial and SBA loan submissions to ensure credit underwriting standards are maintained to align with the commercial credit culture, risk tolerance and concentration limits of the credit union
  2. Conduct on-going reviews of the credit union's portfolio through the annual credit review process to proactively identify potential credit risk and/or signs of deterioration within the commercial and SBA portfolios
  3. Conduct financial statement spreading reviews for consistency and accuracy within the underwriting process
  4. Monitoring of Asset Based lines of credit
  5. Contribute to the mentoring and training to credit underwriters
  6. Monitoring and follow up for collection of past due commercial and SBA loans
  7. Quarterly development, follow up and monitoring of problem loan reports
  8. Provide recommendations for adjustments to risk grading commercial and SBA credits
  9. Completion and monitoring of covenant waivers
  10. Partner with internal and external legal counsel to facilitate the work out troubled assets for timely and effective resolution
  11. Contribute toward all required audit and exams including regulatory examiners, third party loan reviewers and auditors, internal audit, and internal quality assurance and quality control teams
  12. Work effectively and collaboratively across all commercial and credit union departments
  13. Provide recommendations based on analysis of current workflows and achievable process improvements
  14. Maintain understanding of all internal credit union guidelines & policies as well as all state and federal requirements
  15. Keep abreast of national and local economic news
  16. Maintain and protect all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism
  17. Display leadership values such as mutual respect, honesty, trust and dignity, and act in the best interest of the credit union

About You:
  1. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in commercial credit and documentation
  2. Strong analytical skills to assess credit risk and develop data-driven decisions
  3. Prioritize, organize and respond to multiple tasks and competing requests
  4. Ability to consistently present a professional demeanor and image to internal and external members
  5. Excellent customer service attributes
  6. Effective communication of ideas and information, both orally and in writing
  7. Promote and participate in a cohesive team environment

What You Will Need:
  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred
  2. Minimum of five (5) years of commercial lending experience, credit administrative and/or experience with troubled/special assets preferred
  3. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the financial services industry preferred
  4. Thorough working knowledge of the financial services industry including business cash flow, lending policies and procedures, financial statements, and credit analysis
  5. Proficient with standard office equipment, computer hardware and software, and Microsoft programs

Full Salary Range:
Spokane, WA: $97,069.57-$161,782.61
Vancouver, WA: $103,246.72-$172,077.87
Renton, WA: $117,365.93-$195,609.89
*While our full pay range is listed, most new team members typically start between the minimum and midpoint based on their experience and qualifications. This approach gives room to grow within the role as your career progresses with us!"
