Job Description Everforth ECS is seeking a Junior Project Manager to work in the National Capital Region covering the Pentagon, Falls Church, and Fairfa x. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. The War Data Platform (WDP) is a key initiative within the U.S. Department of War's (DoW) AI-First strategy introduced in early 2026. The WDP focuses on operational warfighting data and aims to accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) on the battlefield. The WDP extends to Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret environments, and supports collaboration between Combatant Commands, Joint Staff directorates, Senior Executive Service leaders, and operational analysts. • The Junior Project Manager supports program planning, coordination, and reporting activities across the WDP Core Integration Task Order, contributing to the disciplined execution of Government-facing deliverables, procurement workflows, and schedule tracking functions under the guidance of Senior Project Managers. In this role, the Junior Project Manager develops foundational federal program management skills by supporting Monthly Status Report preparation, Project Management Plan maintenance, Kick-Off Meeting coordination, and procurement documentation activities that sustain program visibility, audit readiness, and consistent execution across assigned Task Order activities.
• Supports planning, coordination, and execution of program activities in alignment with Government objectives and reporting requirements.
• Assists with development and maintenance of the Project Management Plan by supporting updates to schedules, task descriptions, milestones, and documentation artifacts.
• Supports Task Order Kick-Off Meetings by preparing draft agendas, staffing inputs, briefing materials, and meeting documentation.
• Assists with preparation of Monthly Status Reports by compiling task progress updates, schedule inputs, personnel status information, purchasing activity summaries, and cost tracking data provided by senior staff.
• Supports purchasing and procurement processes by preparing and tracking Requests to Initiate Purchase and Consents to Purchase, organizing supporting documentation, and monitoring approval status in accordance with Government timelines.
• Maintains logs tracking milestones, action items, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Supports Quarterly Program Management Review preparation by compiling execution data and draft briefing content.
• Coordinates with Senior Project Managers to resolve task-level issues and escalate risks or delays as required.
• Maintains organized program documentation repositories supporting traceability and audit readiness.
• Applies structured project coordination practices to support schedule visibility, reporting accuracy, and consistent execution across assigned program activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills • Current Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, information technology, or a closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and demonstrated work experience in a program coordination or administrative support role within a federal or defense contracting environment.
• Demonstrated experience supporting the preparation and maintenance of program management documentation, including schedules, milestone logs, action item trackers, and deliverable matrices, in alignment with Government contract requirements and established reporting timelines.
• Familiarity with federal procurement coordination activities, including demonstrated ability to prepare, track, and organize Requests to Initiate Purchase, Consents to Purchase, and associated supporting documentation within Government-directed approval workflows.
• Proven ability to compile and organize task progress updates, schedule status inputs, personnel status data, and cost tracking information for use in Monthly Status Reports and other Government-facing reporting artifacts under the direction of senior program management staff.
• Proficiency with collaboration and document management platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office productivity tools, including demonstrated experience maintaining organized, version-controlled program documentation repositories that support audit readiness and traceability.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate solution.
• Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and professionally interact with a diverse set of stakeholders (from peers to end-users to executive management). Desired Skills • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
• Active pursuit of or completed Project Management Institute (PMI) Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification, or enrollment in a recognized project management training program, demonstrating commitment to professional development and structured program management practice.
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Agile delivery concepts, including basic working knowledge of Program Increment planning cycles, sprint-based reporting cadences, and Agile Release Train coordination activities as they relate to Government-facing deliverable schedules and milestone tracking.
• Experience supporting Government Kick-Off Meetings, Integrated Program Reviews, or equivalent executive-level coordination events, including demonstrated ability to develop meeting agendas, compile briefing materials, capture and distribute meeting minutes, and track resulting action items through resolution.
• Familiarity with federal contracting documentation requirements, including basic working knowledge of Contract Line Item Number structure, Contracting Officer Representative reporting cycles, and deliverable submission requirements as they apply to Task Order program management coordination activities.
• Prior internship, academic project, or entry-level work experience supporting a defense, intelligence community, or federal agency program in a coordination, administrative, or analyst capacity, demonstrating foundational understanding of Government program execution environments and professional standards expected in a cleared federal contracting workplace.
