Role Description The Computer Aided Design (CAD) Drafter is a full-time onside role based in Flowery Branch, Georgia. This role prepares detailed technical and engineering drawings for flexible safety barriers, guardrails, and related polymer safety systems, translating project requirements and site measurements into accurate CAD layouts and installation plans. The CAD Drafter collaborates closely with engineering, sales, and project management teams to develop custom solutions, revise drawings based on stakeholder feedback, and ensure compliance with internal standards and client specifications.



Key Responsibilities:

Drafting & Design Support:

·       Produce detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, layouts, and customer-specific safety solution plans.

·       Translate client requirements and project specifications into precise, buildable layouts.

·       Maintain accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment across all drawings.

Project Execution:

·       Manage assigned drafting tasks to meet project deadlines with high accuracy.

·       Collaborate with project managers and team leads to ensure timely delivery of drawings.

·       Revise and update existing drawings as needed throughout the project lifecycle.

Process & Quality:

·       Follow established CAD standards, templates, and documentation workflows.

·       Ensure all drawings comply with safety regulations, product specifications, and company standards.

·       Assist in maintaining organized drawing files and document control systems.

Collaboration:

·       Work closely with Sales, Operations, Installation, and Customer Service teams to support project coordination.

·       Provide CAD and layout support during the pre-sales and installation phases as needed.

·       Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to clarify design requirements and resolve discrepancies.

  • Competitive Base Salary: $60,000- 68,000 (Defined range will be determined by experience level, scope, and years in the field.

  • Additional Time OFF à Holiday closure: additionally pay time off during the company’s Christmas and New Year’s closure. For 2026 this includes 5 extra days.



Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and tools, with the ability to produce precise technical documents.
  • Strong skills in Technical Drawing and Engineering Drawings, including interpreting specifications and industry standards.
  • Experience creating and revising Architectural Drawings and general Drawing layouts for industrial or commercial environments.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and ability to translate site information into reliable plans.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in drafting, engineering technology, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineering, sales, and field teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience with safety-related products, industrial facilities, or material handling environments is beneficial.
