Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a tenacious and detail-oriented electrical engineer or a mechanical engineer with a strong electrical background to provide ongoing technical support, maintenance of records, and continuous improvement for released products. The ideal candidate has a passion for documentation and continuous learning. This position provides a critical role in the continuity of operations for the company by evaluating and documenting historical designs and processes for legacy products.

Key Responsibilities
Records Management
Electrical Documentation: Update or create CAD, Drawings, and Documentation for electrical components and manufacturing fixtures such as schematics, design documentation, gerbers, stencils, BOMs, assembly instructions.
Mechanical Documentation: Update or create CAD, Drawings, and Documentation for mechanical components and assemblies including products and fixtures using a combination of historical records and as-built components and assemblies.
Product Data Management (PDM): Ensure all new data is stored into the PDM in an organized fashion, identify gaps in the PDM process, and work with stakeholders to correct issues.
Historical Data: Organize historical data into the PDM in the correct location, updating formats as necessary.
Continuity of Operations
Obsolescence Management: Work cooperatively with other teams including manufacturing engineering and component sourcing to proactively identify product obsolescence issues.
Process Documentation: Work collaboratively with manufacturing and new product development to develop and document existing and new processes to ensure continuity of operations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (BSEE), Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering with a strong Electrical Engineering Background.
  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience.
  • Electrical Proficiency:
    • Experience in ECAD software such as (Eagle, Fusion360, Altium, KiCad etc)
    • Knowledge and understanding of electrical manufacturing processes.
    • Understanding of electrical schematics and circuits including analog and digital systems.
    • Ability to reverse engineer devices from product to schematic using a variety of data sources.
  • Mechanical Proficiency:
    • Experience with mechanical CAD software such as Solidworks, Inventor, Fusion360, Catia, etc.
    • Understanding of general mechanical fabrication, GD&T best practices
  • Computer Basics: Strong experience with Microsoft ecosystem including Sharepoint, Teams, Office Suite etc.
