Job description

Title: Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (3 days on-site/hybrid)

Software Platform Engineer

Client is hiring a Platform Engineer to help operate, support, and improve customer-facing cloud software used by organizations around the world.

This role blends production support, platform reliability, cloud operations, and software development. You will troubleshoot production issues, improve reliability and observability, contribute to AWS and CI/CD initiatives, and deliver focused software enhancements in .NET and C#.

This is a good fit for an engineer who enjoys solving real operational problems, working across application and infrastructure boundaries, and collaborating with a distributed engineering team.


What You'll Do

  • Support, monitor, and maintain production SaaS applications.
  • Investigate and resolve application, infrastructure, and customer-facing issues.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and follow-up improvements.
  • Improve monitoring, observability, reliability, and support processes.
  • Contribute to AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and platform automation.
  • Develop and maintain software using .NET and C#.
  • Deliver bug fixes, enhancements, and platform improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product managers across a global organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, SRE, cloud operations, or a related technical role.
  • Available to support, troubleshoot, and improve production SaaS or cloud-hosted software systems
  • Working knowledge of AWS-based applications, services, or cloud infrastructure
  • Hands-on background with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control, and modern software delivery practices
  • Ability to develop, debug, or maintain applications using .NET and C#.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, alerting, or incident management platforms.
  • Experience with React and/or Next.js.
  • Experience working with distributed or international engineering teams.
