Job description

CISCO Network Engineer
Responsibilities:
  • Practical experience as a Network Engineer in a complex, multi-platform, multi-protocol environment.
  • Requires expertise in network monitoring, analysis, management, and configuration tools or expertise with server/systems monitoring and management tools.
  • Understanding of business and clinical applications within a healthcare environment.
  • Packet-level expertise in network traffic analysis.
  • Competent with mainstream office automation, project management, and communications tools.
  • Strong project management and interpersonal skills; ability to deal effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities, provide strong team leadership, and work effectively as a team player.
  • Requires expertise in all LAN and WAN operation aspects, switching, routing, topology, QoS, Multicast, network protocols, software-defined networking, Wireless, and Metro Ethernet.
  • Knowledge and experience of the following: MPLS, NAC, VPN, remote access servers, security devices, firewalls, security protocols, IDS/IPS, NAT/PAT, ACS, Adaptive Authentication, SecurID, RadiLDAP/TACACS.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to secure and mitigate risk across the company.

Desired Qualifications :
  • 8 plus years of network support experience and strong technology background in managing and troubleshooting Multi-OS LAN/WAN/WLAN/DMZ infrastructure for a large enterprise
  • L2/L3 Technologies: IP subnetting, IP routing, routing/switching protocols like BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, GLBP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, IPv6, and Multicast.
  • Thorough understanding and ability to analyze Packet captures/traces
  • Excellent interpersonal and Customer Service Skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a desire to take on responsibility
  • A CCNA, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), certification is preferred.
  • Excellent Written and Oral communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of Networking concepts not Limited to Routing and Switching
  • Ability to quickly analyze and troubleshoot data and voice network outages
