Job description

Kimley-Horn's Kansas City office is seeking an Electrical I&C Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join our Natural Gas team! 


This person will serve as a senior Electrical Engineer focused on growing an Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) practice in Kansas City, MO. The role will include enhancing existing clients and establish new client relationships by producing quality work with efficiency while growing a team that will support power generation and natural gas projects in Missouri and across the country.

  • Integration into the national power generation and natural gas practices and develop relationships with other Practice Builders.
  • Gain an understanding of Kimley-Horn’s existing capabilities, technical resources, and resume.  
  • Partner with existing Kimley-Horn Practice Builders to evaluate our current clients to identify those presenting the best opportunities to support and partner on to grow.
  • Introduce other Kimley-Horn partners to existing industry relationships.
  • Work with our marketing team to expand Kimley-Horn’s brand recognition in areas of expertise through conferences, professional meetings, and other opportunities.
  • Become educated on Kimley-Horn business practices and resources with the partnership of the integration team.
  • Work with partners to identify project teams through existing and future staff resources.

  • 10+ years experience in an Electrical Engineering role
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License 
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering 
  • Willingness to travel to support site visits and client meetings, as needed
  • Ability to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staff
