Position:  Junior Developer

Location: Rosslyn, VA, 

Clearance:  Secret

The Junior Developer is an entry-level role focused on supporting the design,
development, and maintenance of software applications. This position involves
foundational knowledge of programming languages and software development
methodologies. 
Major Duties and Responsibilities
 
Assist in developing and maintaining software applications.
Write, test, and debug code to ensure functionality and reliability.
Collaborate with senior developers to implement solutions.
Support the integration of applications with enterprise systems.
Document development processes and configurations.
Conduct basic performance testing and optimization.
Stay updated on emerging programming tools and technologies.
Provide user support and training for software applications.
Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and standards.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
0-3 years of experience in software development.
Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#).
Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, SAFe).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Familiarity with cloud-based development tools is a plus.
 
Preferred Certifications include:
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner 
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)

Salary up to $139,000, depending on qualifications, including relevant certifications, education, years of experience, and demonstrated experience supporting Federal Government programs within the field. Candidates with specialized expertise, industry-recognized certifications, and strong Federal contracting experience may be considered at the higher end of the range.
