Job Summary:
Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a talented Senior Android Kotlin Engineer for a 06+ months contract opportunity. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications using Kotlin while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and optimize application performance.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin.
• Build clean, scalable, and reusable code following Android best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and stability.
• Implement modern Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, and cloud-based services.
• Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure quality standards.
• Troubleshoot bugs, resolve production issues, and improve app reliability.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership when needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Android
• Kotlin
• Only US citizens and Green Card on W2
• 5+ years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Experience with Jetpack components, Coroutines, Flow, and dependency injection tools such as Dagger/Hilt/Koin.
• Solid understanding of Android UI principles, Material Design, and responsive layouts.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and handling JSON/XML data.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Knowledge of Firebase, analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications.
• Exposure to mobile security best practices and app store release processes.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale or high-traffic mobile environments.
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
